1: Hammerhead returned to the exterior show floor. Speaking very broadly, I suspect the company and development has plateaued at this point and needs more $ to keep expanding and actually finish one or both of these games.Star citizen trade price list $ 0. I imagine doing that would be a hard sell both internally and externally but I won’t deny the obvious benefit of a new lucrative revenue stream. Now, if performance and stability were better, CI devoted more time and resources to development and pushed out enough content then I agree it could potentially be very lucrative, giving new players that Rexilla Dropship Forces type experience of dropping players into a quick, unique engagement but CI is already developing two games that are considerably behind schedule. IMO, a more apt comparison to the actual gameplay would be Battlefield V, which has underperformed than expected with way more content than ToW will probably have. Those are pretty significant barriers of entry for new players. By comparison, Star Citizen isn’t free, performance and stability are low, it has a 50 player cap and CI probably won’t push out that much actual content with it.

It was free with good performance and stability and supported 100 player matches. Then relatively quickly, Epic kept shoving content into it. Rinse, dev, repeat.Īs far as Fortnite, I think it’s a bad comparison to make, because in the early days of Fortnite BR performance and stability was pretty good and only got better. I mean, sure but I’m just being skeptical because traditionally CI tends to drop new modes like this with a minimal amount of content, like ToW is probably just one map, players peak early, get tired and move on, then CI comes back 6 months or year later for another minimal content drop. If they went through an 890J (flyable) and got into an Aurora (flyable) and flew down to Levski (landable) and looked around, how would that be functionally different to what they just showed off? Don't punch the downvote button, answer me.
but so far, this is the worst keynote ever. But most players wear spacesuits always, so will never experience this. Major new feature: If you take your helmet off, assuming you don't immediately suffocate, you will feel cold. This is nothing dramatically different to ArcCorp or Levski, which we have had for years. A water droplet effect should not be the "display win" for a years worth of development. Microtech: Again, just a planet, but they added water drops to the cockpit of any ship flying there. The Carrack is nice, yes, but this nothing more than a slightly different ship than the Starfarer that they showed off years ago. 1 year since the last livestream and almost nothing new. However, every single time Chris can't help himself and starts cutting them off to talk about whatever catches his eye in the demo or to shout directions at the person controlling the player character and the people controlling what is on screen, it's second-hand embarrassing and I want to collapse in on myself whenever I'm forced to witness it happening live, which is every time they do these events. They often get the actual department directors to prepare a commentary for these live demos, they know the intricacies of what they are commentating on and probably spend hours or days putting it together and rehearsing it. Every Star Citizen event is like this, CIG are incompetent at hosting live gameplay demos and should just give up at this stage and show pre-recorded gameplay with a rehearsed script to describe what is happening on screen, a script read by someone who doesn't slur their words and ramble or go off on off the cuff tangents every two minutes.
